Photo & Identity

Shown across the site — Members, your Dashboard greeting, and any Lodge emails.

Honours and post-nominal letters (MBE, OBE, a doctorate used as a suffix, etc.) go straight into Surname or the “Other” title box, the same way you’d write them on a letterhead — e.g. “Smith MBE”.

Contact Details

Next of Kin & Emergency Contact

Optional. Visible only to the Lodge Almoner and admin — never shown in Members, and never to other members. This is for the Lodge to know who to contact on your behalf in an emergency or bereavement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can actually see what I fill in here?+

Anything you mark Private is visible only to you and the Lodge admin. Everything else appears in Members for any other signed-in Brother to see — nothing here is ever visible to the public.

Who sees my Next of Kin / emergency contact?+

Only the Lodge Almoner and admin — never other members, and never shown in Members. It exists so the Lodge knows who to contact on your behalf in an emergency or bereavement.

Can I hide my Masonic career history?+

No — unlike your contact details, career history (degrees, offices, milestones) isn't privacy-gated. It's shown on your profile in Members for any signed-in member to see.

I need to change my email or account role — why can't I do that here?+

Name, title, and contact details are self-service from this page — but email and role changes stay admin-only, so an admin needs to make those on your behalf.
